Earlier today, I discovered a wonderful post posted earlier today, by admin, over on Used Cars in Kenya entitled At Volvo Cars' test track Hällered the car is pushed to its limit … that I encourage everyone to read! I’ve included some little extracts in order to whet your appetites!

The equivalent of four complete circuits of the earth. At the test facility there are 15 different test tracks where everything a Volvo car can be facing up to during its long life time is tested. On the main track they bring the cars to their limits at full speed during interminable driving cycles at speeds of over 250 kilometres per hour. On other tracks driving stability on the road and chassis components are tested with cars driven round tough bends. Annually the test drivers wear out some 2,000 tires.

Now then, reading this post started me thinking so I did a quick search for more posts on the subject and uncovered some more interestingposts. e.g. Volvo Cars ? Mumbai | Car Dealers and Showrooms For Volvo Sedans … posted a fortnight ago, by admin, on a blog called Mumbai – Blog:

Yet another fine article on the subject came from Zach Thomas over on The Ronan Law Blog posted last week and entitled Volvo recalls over 100000 cars amid airbag and steering concerns … which is also definitely worth reading!

November 8, 2010 Volvo Cars, the Swedish automaker owned by China’s Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., is recalling 113,600 cars in 80 countries for potential faults with air bags and power-steering hoses, a spokesman said. The models affected by the air-bag wiring fault are the S80, S80L, S60, V70 and XC70 as well as the XC60, the crossover that’s Gothenburg-based Volvo’s best-selling model. The market with the biggest number of air-bag related recalls is Sweden, with 19,273, while 11,400 cars in China and 9,753 cars in the U.S. are affected.
