Excess Radiation Detected in Imported Japanese Cars at Vladivostok …
Recently I came across a fantastic post posted earlier today, by ILWU Coast Longshore Division, over on Longshore & Shipping News entitled Excess Radiation Detected in Imported Japanese Cars at Vladivostok … that I would strongly suggest you all read! Below are a couple of little excerpts in order to whet your appetites!
The report said the cars, aboard the “Asian Ice” ship, had radiation 1.5 to two times the normal level. This is the first large shipment of radioactive cars from Japan detected. The used cars that do not meet the safety norms will likely be shipped back to Japan, according to the report. Meanwhile, the Emergency Ministry said radiation in the Far East of Russia ranged from 5 to 15 micro-roentgens per hour.
Now then, reading this article started me thinking so I googled for some other posts on the subject and discovered some more gems. i.e. RUSSIAN MANNED SPACE MISSION FOR 50th … posted last week, by admin, over on SOCIALIST UNITY:
Russian cosmonauts Alexander Samokutyaev and Andrei Borisenko and U.S. astronaut Ronald Garn aboard the the Soyuz TMA-21 “Gagarin” entered the ISS smoothly after the docking, the Itar-Tass news agency quoted the mission control center as saying. The capsule atop a Soyuz-FG carrier rocket blasted off at 02:18 a.m. Moscow time Tuesday (2218 GMT Monday) from Kazakhstan’s Baikonur space center, bringing the three new crew members to join three other astronauts in the ISS who are scheduled to return to the Earth one month later.
Finally, another fantastic post on the subject came from News Desk on Moscow-ON.info posted earlier today, entitled Chechen rebels' leader Umarov may be alive ? Kremlin envoy ? ITAR … which is also definitely worth reading!
MOSCOW, April 13 (Itar-Tass) — Chechen rebels’ leader Doku Umarov, who was believed to have been killed in a special operation in Ingushetia in a special operation in Ingushetia in March, may be alive, presidential special representative for international cooperation in the fight against terrorism and transnational organised crime Anatoly Safonov said. “Unfortunately, we have no official confirmation” of Umarov’s termination, Safonov said in an interview with Russia Today television channel on Wednesday, April 13. “As far as I know, necessary medical studies and other procedures have not been completed yet,” he said, adding, “Judging from various indirect evidence, he [Umarov] might have survived.” SharePrintEmailRedditDigg Tags: english, moscow, news, russia .
