2008 Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe interior

Earlier today, I found an awesome post posted earlier today, by luke, over on Luke Judge entitled World's most expensive cars that I urge everyone to read! Here are a few little excerpts in the hope of whetting your appetites!

Compared with the other cars on the most-expensive list, this Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe comes off as a steal at the suggested retail price of $447,000. These cars seem to go one of two ways: super-luxurious touring sedans like the Landaulet and the $447,000 Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe, or screaming street fighters like the $455,400 Lamborghini LP 670-4 SuperVeloce and the $728,000 LeBlanc Mirabeau. One standout: The $1.3 million Pagani C9. Due out late next year, it’ll sport a new Mercedes-Benz AMG 6.0-litre V12 engine that produces 700 horsepower and 737 foot-pounds of torque. A specialized carbon-titanium chassis and Pirelli tires will add to the overall appeal of this Pagani Zonda replacement.

Now then, reading this got me thinking so I had a quick search around for some more articles on the subject and found some more greats! i.e. Blog Archive » 2011 Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe by admin, posted last week, over on cars:

Author: admin  |  Category: cars The Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe was shown at the Detroit Motor Show in 2007 and quickly became popular throughout the world. But now, after many years of production time to make several improvements and changes these changes may be, and not so exciting, however, make the car a lot of sports. 2011 model year will receive as a supplement to their appearance, and changes in the interior. Also, the car waiting for a new suspension calibration and gearbox the engine will not be modified, and why, it’s 6.75-liter V12! Cost new 2011 Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe will be approximately $ 443.000 – $ 452.000.

Another fantastic article on the subject came from Tycoon Tommy over on Lavish Avenue posted three weeks ago and entitled Bijan's Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe which is also certainly worth a read.

Bijan’s Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe is yet another collection worthy automobile that you would like to see in your garage. It will be made by Rolls-Royce and the California-based and world renowned designer, Bijan Pakzad. Like all the Rolls Royce models, this special edition car is going to be made by some of the auto industry’s premier craftspeople and artisans and is expected to be released next spring. Swiftness – digital printing employs the most recent technology to print images speedier than any person accustomed to the analog techniques has ever seen in life. The printing is definitely a time-efficient procedure and takes hardly any time in any way since the printer is merely transferring data by using an approach it’s been programmed to follow, applying ink on a material like paper, fabric, plastic, etc. 2. Long-term Usage- a picture which has been crafted a long time ago can be reproduced with all the dynamics of its first ever printout decades later because digital information could be kept indefinitely. 3. Adjustable Data Printing – primary mail promotions can drastically be improved with the use of variable data printing. Variable data printing enables you to mass produce your customized prints thus making it easier for you to make that individual relationship with your target market. 4.

Hydrogen Cars, Hydrogen Car model, Hydrogen Car Review

According to the IPCC s Fourth Assessment Report AR4 global greenhouse gases emissions due to human activities have grown since pre industrial times with an increase of 70 between 1970 and 2004 Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations FAO indicated on its Global Forest Resource

Earlier today, I stumbled upon an excellent post posted earlier today, by admin, over on Green Auto Zone entitled Hydrogen Cars, Hydrogen Car model, Hydrogen Car Review that I strongly encourage all of you to read. Here’s a couple of excerpts to whet your appetites!

Honda’s first Hydrogen Car was launched in 1999 termed as the FCX and later again as the second generation FCX Clarity. The first production model of the FCX Clarity made its debut at the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show in 2007 from Honda. In June 2008 in the United States, the FCX Clarity commenced its promotion in a limited manner. Japan saw the face of FCX Clarity in November 2008. 16 hydrogen filling stations are functional for the provision of hydrogen to the FCX Clarity sold in the U.S. only territory of Los Angeles.

Now then, reading admin’s post started me off thinking so I searched for more posts on the subject and found some more greats. i.e. Polar Bear Survival May Depend on Reducing Greenhouse Gas … by Carolyn Hamilton, posted three days ago, on a blog called Beyond Penguins and Polar Bears:

Tuesday, December 28th, 2010 9:32 am Written by: Carolyn Hamilton It may not be too late to save polar bears from extinction, according to a new study by scientists from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the University of Washington. The caveat is — if humans reduce greenhouse gas emissions significantly in the next decade or two, enough Arctic ice is likely to remain intact during late summer and early autumn for polar bears to survive. The scientists were taking a second look at an earlier study that was based on a continuation of the dramatic decline in Arctic ice. A 2007 study projected that only about one-third of the world’s polar bears could survive the loss of their habitat and eventually the bear would be extinct. Quoted in a news release, Eric DeWeaver of NSF, said, “We looked for Arctic sea ice tipping points [irreversible change] in a climate model in which sea ice is known to be very sensitive to global warming, and we didn’t find any.” But he cautioned, “Ultimately the outcome depends on how much greenhouse gas we add to the atmosphere in the future, not how much we’ve added until now.

Finally, another fine article came from tgilbrea69 on Untitled posted yesterday and entitled Massachusetts Releases Plan to Cut Greenhouse Gases which is also definitely worth reading.

Carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and ozone are among the targeted gases. The law also required Bowles to submit a plan by year’s end on how to reach the first benchmark. The plan was devised over two years and at eight public hearings. Officials say its policies and programs could create up to 48,000 jobs. Better efficiency in transportation and among power suppliers are key to the plan, but improved building efficiency is the biggest contributor, with the state saying cleaner-running buildings will account for a nearly 10 percent of the hoped-for emissions reduction. The state already has committed $2 billion to help buildings owners decrease energy use, such as with efficient lighting, improved insulation or furnace and boiler upgrades.

If you wanna talk about heritage, American cars were THE cars. We’re compelling a rest. We’ve let the foreigners have a small fun. We’re currently in the processing of compelling this bitch back over.

Now, reading this article started me thinking so I did a quick search for some other articles on the subject and uncovered some more greats. i.e. this post by Greg, posted three days ago, on a blog called The BlaBla Blog:

TweetShareTweetShareA by-law approved by the City of Cape Town means that at the stroke of midnight on December 31, liquor trading and serving in Cape Town will be restricted. According to the new by-law, liquor can only be sold in business centres run from 11:00 to 02:00, while liquor in residential areas may only be sold from 11:00 to 23:00. Councillor Taki Amira, chairperson of the Liquor Policy Task Team says that “This means that bars and clubs in business areas will have to close by 02:00 on January 1 2011. Those watering holes in or close to residential areas, which may currently enjoy late trading hours, will have to abide by the new legislation and close by 23:00,” he added. The new law has been seen as an attempt to clampdown on establishments that sell liquor illegally or without licenses and also an attempt to lessen liquor abuse, hooliganism, noise pollution and public disturbances.

The by-law allows wineries within the city limits, such as Groot Constantia to sell take-away wines on a Sunday and has set up a formal procedure for members of the public to report irresponsible liquor traders, information which could lead to the restriction or cancellation of licences. The Federated Hospitality Association of Southern Africa’s Cape branch (Fedhasa Cape) said it was unpleasantly surprised by the by-law, which it called, “draconian, verkrampte, restrictive and unacceptable.” Fedhasa Cape said that the by-law had the potential of damaging Cape Town’s “visitor friendly” reputation. Chairperson of Fedhasa Cape, Dirk Elzinga, said the by-law would create “total confusion” among licence holders, domestic consumers and more importantly national and international visitors to Cape Town – given that liquor trading hours in and immediately surrounding the Cape Metro area would be required to serve liquor at varying times depending on one’s geographical location. “A further, no doubt unintended, consequence of the by-law could be that on consumption, consumers will be tempted to pre-order significant quantities of liquor immediately prior to the applicable closure of liquor services and in addition, a significant number of consumers may consider moving their custom to establishments legally permitted to continue liquor service after 23:00,” he added. Restaurant owners, especially those working in or owning establishments in residential areas, are also concerned that the by-law will have an effect on their businesses. What is still not entirely clear is whether the restaurants and clubs must actually physically close at the new times as Cllr Amira suggests, or whether the by-law simply means that they must stop serving liquor. Hopefully some clarity on this issue will be given before the new year.

Finally, another fantastic article on the subject came from Maurice Kindermann over on Inspired Magazine posted four days ago and entitled Redesigning Amazon which is also certainly worth a look!

They were once known for pioneering much of what is now referred to as ‘standards’ in ecommerce. These days, the online giant is looking a little worse for wear. Personally, I’ve been avoiding the website for years because of how unappealing I find it, so when I recently went to buy a Kindle I was not surprised to learn of some major fragmentation and usability problems. View original Kindle page   |   Original Post Brief History Let me back up a bit, back in the 90′s US websites were notorious for providing very limited or no shipping options to international customers.

Amazon’s current design I own two 22″ monitors that sit side by side. Although I’m not the norm, this makes reading any content on Amazon (or any fluid website, WordPress admin panel included!) a painful experience. Widescreen cinema was invented for the film industry because our eyes move left to right faster than they do up and down, and this causes less eye strain. With this sort of logic you might think wider websites would be easier to read. Well, books are vertical for a reason, and it’s been shown that the ideal paragraph length is between 40 and 60 characters (depending on where you look). With that in mind you can see what looks like on my monitor followed by what it would look like with two lines of code to give it a max width. The Code: body{ max-width:1200px; margin:auto;} Before: After: Fragmentation Nothing is worse.

Personally I think this is unacceptable. Content is king, right? Content certainly is king, but it’s important to restrict the amount of content per page. I did a quick test by copying and pasting the entire Kindle product page into Microsoft Word, and you might fall off your chair at the results. 62 pages, 11,832 words. Obviously Amazon want to make sure you know exactly what you’re buying, but it needs a bit more management. This is what I’ve demonstrated in my design with the “Reviews” section. I’ve turned two massive sections on the page into a humble slideshow. Here is the before and after: Ending thoughts The current Amazon design was implemented back in September of 2007.

Yet another fine post on the subject came from admin over on Digitalize Your Life posted two days ago and entitled Bad and Poor Credit, Gasoline and Gas Station Business Financing … which is also certainly worth a read.

Bad and poor credit gasoline and gas station business financing and loans, without credit checks, are available with easy qualify working capital financing up to ,000. This gives the established gas station small business with bad or poor credit a great opportunity to obtain working capital financing for their business without a personal credit check.  This no credit check gas station business loan and financing program isn’t a merchant cash advance or merchant loan. Additionally, it isn’t related to the payday loan program.   This no credit check bad and poor credit gasoline station  business loan program is constructed in the following manner. The small business applicant should follow the below guidelines:   1)   Maintain at least a ,000 ending gas station bank balance in their business account 2)       Deposit at least 10-15 times per month in their business account 3)       Be in business at least one year and establish the ability to repay back the loan 4)       Have no outstanding  large tax liens, delinquent child support issues, not currently in bankruptcy or foreclosure                 Documentation Requirements   1)   Signed and dated application 2)       Provide a copy of the detailed business gas station bank statements for the last four months  3)       Copy of the Owners Drivers Licenses 4)       A copy of the Articles of Incorporation if Applicable 5)       Copy of a business license, tax id number or any other relevant license   The lender will advance up to 2.5 x the average ending balance on the gas station business bank account for the last four months up to ,000.

These are business loans and the length of the loan is four months which can be renewed. The loan can replace a merchant cash advance if it doesn’t exceed 40% of the eligible borrowing base. At funding, the lender will pay off the merchant cash advance or loan and pay you the difference.   Example, your monthly average ending balance in your    gas station business bank account is ,000 for four months. Your borrowing base would be ,000 x 2.5 or ,000. If your current cash merchant advance is ,000, the lender at funding would payoff the merchant first and remit to you the difference for ,000.

The types of businesses that would be great for this type of bad and/or poor credit loan and financing program would be the following:  Gasoline and gas stations, grocery, convenience,  restaurants, bars, discos, tanning salons, pizza shops, dry cleaners, doctors, dentists, physicians,  lawyers, accountants, Cpas, limousine owners, automobile service centers and  body repair shops, dog groomers, florists, beauty and nail shops, distributors,  all different types of service providers.   In conclusion for the bad and/or poor credit gas station business applicant, this is a great opportunity to obtain short term  small business loan financing in this tough economy. This isn’t a merchant cash advance or loan program which can be quite tedious in its paperwork and processor work requirements. This great business loan and financing program isn’t credit driven, therefore your Fico Score isn’t an issue.. These small business loans can be renewed every four months if needed by the applicant and gives the business a working capital injection.

Another fine article came from Chicagos Info on Chicagos Info posted earlier today and entitled Hello From Chicago ? Part 5 ? A Visit To The Pullman Historic … which is also certainly worth a look.

In 1957, Pullman Incorporated closed its plant in the neighborhood.
Only three years later, the city of Chicago included Pullman on a list of “blighted and deteriorating areas” that required clearance and redevelopment. Residents responded by forming the Pullman Civic Organization and began working to gain landmark status. The Historic Pullman Foundation, which formed in 1973, helps ensure the area’s preservation and restoration by sponsoring various events such as neighborhood walking tours, annual house tours, Sunday brunch at the Florence Hotel, and presentations at the Pullman Visitor Center.
In many ways the housing development was ahead of its time.

Future use of the site is currently being debated by a task force institute by Chicago Mayor Daley and Illinois Governor Ryan.
Another interesting building located on the Pullman Historic District is the Queen Anne-style Market Hall which was built in 1881. The Market provided a venue for fresh fruits, meats and other goods. The original market was destroyed by fire in 1892 and a new market was built on the existing foundation.

All of the cherry wood is original. Today the church is still occupied by a Methodist congregation.
The visit to the Pullman Historic District was very interesting. It taught us about a different time of ultimate laissez-faire capitalism, industrial growth and immigration, labour unrest, urban planning, architecture and the ultimate failure of a rather unique social experiment. Are Sports Cars Losing Their Appeal?

I recently came across an excellent post by admin, posted earlier today, and entitled Are Sports Cars Losing Their Appeal? that I would strongly suggest everyone reads. Here’s a few little extracts in order to whet your appetites!

Sports cars are notorious for their small size. Although this helps in handling and speed, it makes longer drives less comfortable while making every day use less practical. Larger cars have a utilitarian advantage that sports cars simply cannot match. It was once sensible to trade some comfort for superior performance, but with modern standard autos now performing so well, the tradeoff seems less and less sensible. This seems apparent when one looks at the kind of cars people are buying: larger vehicles with greater seating capacity. Additionally, the limited utility of sports cars makes them increasingly rare due to economic considerations.

Few families today can afford to purchase and maintain a hobby car. By and large, people expect to use the vehicles they purchase on an every day basis. The old days of having a little convertible in the garage to use for occasional bursts of summer fun no longer seems like an economically feasible diversion for most people. Originally, sports cars were designed specifically with rallies and contests in mind.

This may spell the eventual end for traditional sports cars, although producers are sure to maintain a small fleet of developmental performance cars with which to test new ideas. In the end, we may see a return to the sports cars of yesterday-cars designed specifically and almost exclusively to test new ideas, as opposed to popular cars for the larger public. With each passing year, it seems, one notices fewer and fewer true sports cars on the road. This trend is not likely to be reversed any time soon, as more practical alternatives exist and the performance gap is shortened. Although the true sports car will probably never completely disappear, it is likely to become increasingly less visible to the public.

Now, reading admin’s article started me thinking so I did a quick search for some other posts on the subject and uncovered some more greats! i.e. Whip It Wednesday's by admin, posted earlier today, on a blog called workshop Repairsworkshop Repairs:

Finally, another fine post on the subject came from Blogs Stuff News on Blog Stuff posted last week, entitled Which family automobile should you get: SUV or Sedan? which is also certainly worth a read!

The Sedan is the ordinary car we see on the road everyday, with a small body and a three-box body type. The SUV or sports utility vehicle is more like a small truck but has a more aesthetically appealing that one. It’s a tough choice to make, but you have to get the best family vehicle for your maximum satisfaction. Autopartes en Los Reyes, Coyoacan, Ciudad de Mexico, Distrito Federal SUVs are best for big families with more than 4 members, since these vehicles have many seats and spacious compartments for a lot of luggage. But for smaller families, sedans are just perfect. Comfort and efficiency can vary from vehicle to vehicle, or manufacturer to manufacturer, and it’s not easy to generally compare sedans and SUVs with regards to those factors. If you’re still planning to expand your family, you might want to consider an SUV even if you’re only a small group of 3 or 4.
